Yeah on my Mac mini m1 I use parallels and have windows and Linux virtual machines. But you cannot carry a Mac mini around! I use windows macOS Ubuntu Raspian and mostly vscode is the same cross platform. MacBook just lasts a long time and most apple products are good for a lot of years. Older intel based ‘windows’ laptops can run great with Linux so there is an after life. It really comes down a lot to personal choice I think in the end. Intel Mac’s versus m1/m2 apple is quiet a difference. M2 MacBook is a dream
